WP3: Transmission of results from NanoMag, RADIOMAG and other EU projects into ISO 19807 and further standards on MNPs

The aim of this work package is to ensure the take up of results from the relevant completed and ongoing FP7 and Horizon 2020 EU research projects on MNPs, e.g. “NanoMag” and “RADIOMAG”, into the international standardisation process. This will be achieved by summarising the public reports of previous EU projects, by common meetings and discussions with partners from the previous projects and by common knowledge transfer activities.

The most important previous EU projects, with reference to the metrological aspects of MNPs, will be identified and reviewed. The knowledge from the pre-normative EU FP7 project NanoMag that is dedicated to the standardised description and measurement of MNPs, will be specifically collected. Additionally, the knowledge of the EU COST Action RADIOMAG, that is investigating the application of MNP for fighting cancer by magnetic hyperthermia, will be summarised. A conclusive view on the findings will be provided and it will result in a report on previous EU projects concerned with the standardisation of magnetic nanoparticles.
